  1. Day 1

    Prague! Where the Fairytale Begins

Your first chapter opens in the heart of Europe!

There is something wonderfully theatrical about arriving in Prague during winter.

Gothic spires rise above red rooftops, elegant bridges stretch across the Vltava River, and centuries of history seem to live quietly behind every beautifully decorated doorway.

Upon arrival at Prague Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel, where you can settle in and prepare for the experiences ahead.

Depending on your arrival time, the remainder of the day offers an opportunity to relax or take a first independent glimpse of the Czech capital.
Perhaps enjoy a warming cup of hot chocolate, discover a neighborhood café or simply watch the rhythm of an unfamiliar city from behind a beautiful window.

There is no need to rush.
For the next three nights, Prague will be your home, and some of Europe’s loveliest discoveries are waiting just around the corner.

Your home in Prague: Hotel Duo Prague, 4-star, or similar.

Your first evening is about arriving, unwinding and allowing the excitement of the journey to begin.

  2. Day 2

Prague! A City That Knows How to Steal Your Heart

Some cities are beautiful in photographs. Prague is even more beautiful in person.

Today gives you time to begin discovering Prague at your own pace before the scheduled evening experience.
For guests who enjoy exploring independently, the historic centre offers a wonderful introduction to the city.

Imagine walking across the legendary Charles Bridge, surrounded by baroque statues and centuries of history, with the beautiful Vltava flowing beneath your feet.

Continue through the narrow streets of the Old Town, where extraordinary architecture reveals itself around almost every corner.

One of the city’s most fascinating landmarks is the Astronomical Clock, a medieval masterpiece that has been measuring time for more than six centuries.
And when you need a little warmth, Prague’s legendary cafés are waiting.

A delightful suggestion is Café Louvre, where traditional European café culture, elegant interiors and beautifully prepared desserts make even an ordinary coffee feel special.

These independent discoveries are suggestions for your free time, rather than scheduled guided visits.
When Evening Falls, Prague Becomes Magic

As daylight fades, your included evening transfer takes you to the magnificent Old Town Square.
Here, Prague reveals another side of its personality.

Illuminated historic buildings frame the square, the towers of the Church of Our Lady before Týn stand dramatically against the evening sky, and the atmosphere invites you to slow down and savour the moment.

Choose a restaurant, find a comfortable table and enjoy the freedom to spend your evening exactly as you wish.

For an authentic Czech dining experience, consider Lokál Dlouhááá, known for traditional local cuisine and its lively atmosphere.
Whether your preference is Czech specialities, Italian cuisine or something familiar from home, the Old Town offers plenty of choices.

After your evening in the city, your arranged transfer returns you to the hotel.

Tonight’s little reminder: Sometimes the most beautiful holiday memories are the moments you never planned — an unexpected street musician, a beautifully illuminated building or a conversation over dinner.

  3. Day 3

A Castle on the Hill. A River Full of Stories

Today, the city opens its history to you.

After breakfast, set out with your local guide for a panoramic discovery of Prague, one of Europe’s most captivating historic capitals.

From elegant boulevards to remarkable monuments, the city offers a fascinating combination of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture.

The highlight of today’s exploration is the magnificent Prague Castle, one of the most important historic complexes in the Czech Republic.

Perched above the city, it has witnessed the lives of kings, emperors and presidents across many centuries.

Your programme includes admission to Prague Castle, allowing you to experience this extraordinary setting as part of your guided day. The specific interior sections covered will follow the final confirmed admission arrangements.

Within the castle complex stands the remarkable St. Vitus Cathedral, whose soaring Gothic architecture makes it one of Prague’s most memorable landmarks.

Every courtyard and passage seems to have another story to tell.

    Prague From the Water
Later, your journey continues aboard an included boat excursion along the beautiful Vltava River.

There is something uniquely peaceful about seeing a great European capital from the water.

The river curves through the historic city, offering memorable perspectives of Prague’s bridges, towers and architectural treasures.

It is a chance to relax, take photographs and appreciate the city from a completely different angle.

In the afternoon, enjoy free time to discover a little more of Prague independently.

You may wish to explore the atmospheric streets of Malá Strana, browse local shops or return to a favourite café.

For a traditional dinner, look for Czech goulash, roasted specialities or the country’s famous dumplings. If you prefer something sweet, a warm apple strudel is always a tempting choice.

A moment worth remembering: The view of Prague’s historic rooftops and river is one of those images that stays with you long after the journey ends.
Tonight, enjoy your final overnight stay in this beautiful city.

Tomorrow, another country and another story awaits.
A Castle on the Hill. A River Full of Stories
  4. Day 4

    Prague – Pilsen – Rothenburg – Frankfurt

From Bohemian Elegance to the Heart of a Fairytale

Today, the journey itself becomes part of the adventure.
After an early departure from Prague, travel westward through the Czech countryside towards Pilsen, a historic Bohemian city celebrated for its architecture and famous brewing heritage.

But Pilsen offers much more than its international reputation for beer.
During your stop, take time to discover the attractive historic Centre and its grand Republic Square.

Among the architectural highlights are St. Bartholomew’s Cathedral, the historic plague column and the magnificent Renaissance Town Hall.

The colorful surrounding buildings create a charming setting for a short stroll and some memorable photographs.

Then the landscape begins to change as we cross into Germany.
    Welcome to Germany’s Romantic Road
There are places that seem almost too beautiful to be real.

Rothenburg ob der Tauber is one of them.
Known for its extraordinary medieval character, this enchanting town is a highlight of Germany’s famous Romantic Road.
Picture beautifully preserved half-timbered houses, cobbled lanes, historic towers and ancient town walls.
It is the kind of place that makes you forget what century you are living in.

The famous Plönlein, with its beautiful timber-framed buildings and picturesque setting, is one of the most photographed scenes in Germany.

Take a moment to enjoy the surroundings, explore the historic streets and appreciate an atmosphere that seems to belong to another world.

This is not a town that needs to impress you.
    Its beauty speaks for itself.

Frankfurt! Where Old Europe Meets the Modern World

Later, continue towards Frankfurt, one of Germany’s most important international cities.

Although famous for its financial institutions and striking modern skyline, Frankfurt has a wonderfully historic heart.

After arriving in the evening, enjoy free time in the city centre.
Discover the beautifully reconstructed New Old Town, where traditional architecture and intimate streets contrast with the modern metropolis beyond.

The nearby Römerberg is especially appealing for an evening stroll.
If you would like to experience local German hospitality, Haus Wertheym, near the Römer, offers a historic setting and traditional regional cuisine.
Dinner is at your own choice and expense.

Tonight’s thought: In a single day, you have travelled from Bohemian squares to medieval German streets and finally to one of Europe’s most modern skylines.

That is the beauty of a journey through Europe.
    Overnight in Frankfurt.

  5. Day 5

Sail the Rhine. Arrive in Amsterdam on the Last Night of the Year

The Last Day of the Year. A Journey to Remember.

What better way to say goodbye to 2026 than discovering some of Europe’s most beautiful landscapes?
Today brings a memorable journey through Germany and onwards to the Netherlands.

After breakfast, travel towards the legendary Rhine Valley.
Castles, Vineyards & the Magic of the Rhine

Between the charming towns of Rüdesheim and St. Goar lies one of the most celebrated stretches of the Rhine River.

This is a landscape of remarkable natural beauty, where vineyards rise above the water, picturesque villages line the riverbanks and historic castles stand proudly on the surrounding hills.
Your program features a scenic Rhine cruise, allowing you to admire this extraordinary setting from the water, subject to the confirmed winter sailing arrangements.

The Rhine has inspired poets, painters and travellers for generations.
Today, it becomes part of your own story.

    Cologne! A Gothic Masterpiece
Our journey continues to Cologne, a vibrant German city whose extraordinary cathedral dominates the skyline.

Few European monuments make such an immediate impression as Cologne Cathedral.

Its immense Gothic towers, intricate stonework and extraordinary proportions make it one of Germany’s most celebrated architectural treasures.
Depending on the time available, admire the cathedral and surrounding historic area. Entrance to its interior is subject to the visit schedule and separate ticket arrangements.
There is time to appreciate the unique atmosphere of another great European city before continuing towards the Dutch border.

    Amsterdam! Where 2027 Is Waiting
And then, as the final evening of 2026 approaches, we arrive in Amsterdam.

Elegant canal houses, graceful bridges and picturesque waterways welcome you to the Netherlands.
The city is preparing to celebrate the arrival of another year.

After hotel check-in, the evening is yours to enjoy, depending on arrival time and the confirmed arrangements.

Those wishing to celebrate New Year’s Eve independently may explore available dining and festive experiences, subject to advance reservations and transport arrangements.

One particularly interesting possibility is Amsterdam’s scheduled Electric Fireworks celebration at Museumplein, featuring music, lights and a midnight countdown.

This is an optional public celebration, not an included package event, and attendance depends on the group’s arrival schedule.

Perhaps your perfect evening is a special dinner, a peaceful view of an illuminated canal or the excitement of counting down the final seconds of the year.

However you choose to welcome 2027, you will be doing it in one of Europe’s most distinctive cities.
Three countries. Countless discoveries. And a brand-new year waiting to begin.

  6. Day 6

    Amsterdam & the Dutch Countryside

A New Year, a New Chapter, a World of Beautiful Discoveries!

The first morning of 2027 begins with a little Dutch magic.
Today, we leave the city’s urban elegance behind for a while and discover the picturesque countryside that has made the Netherlands famous throughout the world.

Zaanse Schans! Where Windmills Tell Their Stories

Our first destination is Zaanse Schans, a charming historic district renowned for its traditional wooden houses, canals and magnificent windmills.
Imagine green timber houses beside the water, graceful windmills turning against the winter sky and small workshops preserving centuries-old Dutch craftsmanship.
It is an instantly recognisable image of the Netherlands.
The beauty here lies in its simplicity.
A quiet pathway. A wooden bridge. A reflection in the water. An old windmill standing proudly against the horizon.
The outdoor village can be visited throughout the year, although individual museums, mills and workshops may operate reduced schedules on New Year’s Day.

Volendam! The Charm of an Old Fishing Village

Our journey continues to the beautiful harbour town of Volendam.
With its traditional houses, picturesque waterfront and maritime atmosphere, Volendam offers a glimpse of a very different side of Dutch life.

Take in the views of the harbour, admire the local architecture and enjoy the atmosphere of this much-loved coastal village.
And if you have the opportunity during your free time, discover some traditional Dutch treats, from local cheeses to freshly prepared waffles.

Marken! A Village That Time Has Not Forgotten

From Volendam, our programme continues with a scenic boat crossing to Marken.
Once an island, Marken is famous for its traditional wooden houses and its distinctive architectural character.

Some of the historic homes were built on raised foundations to protect against flooding, a reminder of the Netherlands’ centuries-long relationship with the sea.
There is something wonderfully peaceful about Marken.
It feels intimate, authentic and beautifully removed from the modern world.
The boat crossing forms part of the proposed programme, with final holiday operating arrangements to be reconfirmed.

Back to Amsterdam! Art, Canals & Timeless Beauty

In the afternoon, return to Amsterdam for a guided introduction to this extraordinary city.
Discover the fascinating contrasts between its centuries-old architecture and contemporary neighbourhoods.
Our city experience includes important landmarks and the elegant southern districts, together with a look at Amsterdam’s remarkable tradition of diamond craftsmanship.
Around the famous Museum Quarter, Amsterdam’s cultural heritage reveals another side of the city.
The itinerary includes a diamond factory and museum experience, with the precise venue and admissions to be confirmed in the final travel documents.
Your guided tour concludes in the area of Amsterdam Central Station.
From here, the guide will help you understand how to make the most of the city’s canals, cafés and shopping streets during any remaining free time.

An Evening That Belongs to You
If time and energy allow, this is a lovely opportunity to experience Amsterdam from your own perspective.
Perhaps an independent canal-side walk, a memorable Dutch dinner or, subject to availability, a visit to the Amsterdam Light Festival, where illuminated artworks create another beautiful way to experience the city in winter.
For a relaxed taste of local cuisine, The Pantry offers traditional Dutch dishes in a welcoming setting.
For something more atmospheric and refined, Restaurant d’Vijff Vlieghen is celebrated for its historic surroundings and Dutch-inspired dining.
All optional dining and evening activities are independently arranged and subject to their New Year’s Day opening schedules.
And as the evening draws to a close, perhaps you will realise that the best way to begin a new year is not simply to make resolutions.
It is to create a memory worth keeping.

    Overnight in Amsterdam.

  7. Day 7

    Until Next Time, Europe

Every Beautiful Journey Leaves Something Behind!

    One final breakfast in Europe.
Perhaps one last look at the winter morning outside your window.
There is always something special about the final day of a holiday.
The luggage is packed, the photographs are saved and the journey that seemed so far away just a week ago has become a collection of unforgettable experiences.

You have discovered the historic beauty of Prague, wandered through medieval German towns, admired the romance of the Rhine and welcomed a new year in Amsterdam.
Following breakfast, your programme comes to an end. Departure arrangements will follow the confirmed Amsterdam–Cairo flight schedule.

But wonderful journeys rarely end when we return home.
They live on in the stories we tell, the photographs we treasure and the memories that unexpectedly bring a smile to our faces.
You travelled through three countries. But you brought home so much more.

Until the next beautiful journey! Travco Holidays.
