Day 1 Cairo – New Delhi
Depart from Cairo to the historic city of Delhi. Upon arrival, you will be met, assisted, and transferred to your hotel for check-in.
Day 2 Delhi
This morning we will go on an 8 hours tour to capture the essence of Old Delhi and New Delhi. You will be picked up by 9:00 AM to enjoy a guided tour of Old Delhi and New Delhi. The tour includes a drive past the Red Fort, a visit to Jama Masjid; one of the largest mosques in Asia and Raj Ghat; the simple but moving memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. Later, drive past the imposing India Gate (War Memorial Arch), Parliament Buildings, Rashtrapati Bhawan (the President’s residence) and end the tour with a visit to Qutab Minar; a masterpiece of perfect proportions.
Note: Visitors are required to take their shoes off before entering the Jama Masjid.
Shorts, sleeveless tops, revealing clothes are not allowed inside Jama Masjid.
Day 3 Delhi – Agra
We will leave the hotel at 8:00 AM to start our journey to Erstwhile Mughal, the Capital of Agra, which takes around 5 hours. Upon your arrival in Agra, you will check into your hotel, and the rest of the day will be free to spend at your leisure.
Day 4 Agra – Ranthambore
We will leave the hotel at 9:00 AM to explore the magnificent capital of Agra on an 8 hours sightseeing tour. You will enjoy a guided tour of Agra including a visit to Itmad-Ud-Daula; the beautiful tomb of Mirza Ghiyas Beg built in pure marble and its walls etched with translucent stones. You will have the chance to explore the massive red sandstone Agra Fort; an outstanding example of Mughal architecture and the seat and stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. Then we will continue to the Taj Mahal (closed on Friday), built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century as a mausoleum for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, a masterpiece in marble and one of the world’s most famous landmarks. The evening will be free to spend at your leisure.
Day 5 Agra – Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur
We will leave the hotel at 8:00 AM to drive to the abode of Rajahs – Jaipur. During this seven hours sightseeing morning tour, you will proceed on a drive to Jaipur, en route you will be visiting Fatehpur Sikri – the beautiful deserted capital of Emperor Akbar. You will have the opportunity of exploring the whereabouts of this historic monument that was built by Akbar to commemorate the birth of his son, only to be abandoned after 14 years due to lack of water. Upon your arrival in Jaipur, you will check into your hotel and the evening will be free to spend at your leisure.
Day 6 Jaipur
You will be picked up at 8:00 AM from the hotel for a four and half hours morning tour of the Hilltop Citadel - Amber Fort. You will go on a guided tour to learn all about the fabulous Amber Fort, en route taking a photo-stop at Hawa Mahal; a five-storied wonder with a spectacular pyramidal facade and overhanging windows with latticed screens, domes, and spires. Located at the top of a hill, Amber Fort offers spectacular views of the old town below, where Akbar stopped en route on his annual pilgrimage to Ajmer. Ruins and remains are spread over the Aravalli hills and sprawling walls lattice the surrounding area. Then in the afternoon, we will go for a three hours sightseeing tour of the Pink City. You will be picked up at 2:00 PM to enjoy a city tour of the Royal City of Jaipur. The highlights of the tour include a visit to the City Palace Museum that has a superb collection of Rajasthani costumes and armory of Mughals and Rajputs including swords of different shapes and sizes with chiseled handles. Then we will proceed to the awe - inspiring Jantar Mantar Observatory; a stone astrological and astronomical Observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh in the 18th - century. You may want to walk around the colorful bazaars later in the evening.
Day 7 Jaipur - Cairo
The scheduled day of departure for your return to Cairo.
